Comme in Die Gange

Meandering around Hamburg, as a minority pedestrian in a maelstrom of cyclists, i enjoyed a snack and came across a "gange". Kind of a slum-redeeming community/housing project... Also found a statue of Karl Der Große

Trains and Hamburg

Caught the train to Hamburg, and went to Miniatur Wunderland for several hours. Amazing. Including some moving pictures here to "convey the magic".

Amsterdam #2

A random venture to the south, found this cultural festival.  Still not sure of the actual event name, but the poffertjes were great. Pretty amazing steam engine boiler coffee setup also.

Amsterdam, Nederland

Amsterdam is bicycle territory, but despite this i had fun cycling around taking photos... but found this easier with the "instamatic". Amsterdam is somewhat libertarian, including their cycling rules.

Some drawings

From Bruges museum. I thought at least one of these was very humorous - enjoy!

For the gardening types

Botanical gardens and Addison's Walk are both next to the college. The poem by CS Lewis (helpfully on a wall along the Walk) sums it up...

Oxford is unique.

My thanks to James for that last post, and the various humbling experiences of board games...

They are little pics so here's a number of Oxford scenes, mostly colleges. Most have their share of maintenance issues, though apparently some have reserves of £100 million +
